Constructed using galvanized 20-gauge steel, TCP return hoods or canopies are designed for easy installation behind most return grilles. They come with a 1/4” fiberglass liner for insulation and a streamlined design that effectively blocks the line of sight.
- Reduces cross-talk noise between return grilles by maintaining the sound generated while working in low velocity air discharge
- Can be installed easily behind most lay-in return grilles, in the plenum space above the ceiling grid
- Available in overall lengths 23-1/2", 35-1/2" and 59-1/2" with corresponding nominal module sizes of 12"x12", 24"X12", 24"x24" and 48"x24"
Product Application
Room-to-room crosstalk noise and mechanical noises from the plenum of non-ducted returns can become a nuisance and hamper your productivity. Our Return Hood is designed to reduce sound transmission and promote privacy. It can easily be installed behind the return grille and acts as a barrier. In addition to offering speech privacy, it also serves as a light shield above the grille and blocks the line of sight. This solution is excellent for spaces like office rooms and classrooms.
