FPP Fan Powered Parallel
Terminal Units
The basic operating principle of the FPP is that as the space cooling load is satisfied and the primary damper begins to close, the volume of primary air to the space is reduced. It offers a large access panel for you to get complete access to the fan and the internal chamber of unit.
- The unit has a Flo-Cross airflow sensor at primary inlet
- Features a primary inlet and damper, a fan mounted at the discharge of the unit and an induction port in the wall of the casing
- The FPP is lined with insulation to provide sound absorption and thermal resistance
Product Application
Parallel terminal units are a vital component in your building’s HVAC system. They save energy and provide top-notch thermal comfort. They are fan-powered, which turn on only during heating mode drawing warmer plenum air, and work as a single-duct terminal unit in cooling modes. Operating at a low airflow rate, parallel fan-powered terminals are quieter than your average fan boxes. They can be used in a wide range of building applications, but are most effective in areas that have distinct heating requirements—particularly perimeter areas or spaces where the cooling loads can fluctuate.
